What exactly happened with Perkins getting tossed?
Bumping this because I am curious as well.

From what I could tell in the broadcast on ESPN3 things were getting chippy down in the paint and the refs were letting a lot of stuff slide. Some of the contested shots probably could have been called fouls. I think Perkins and DT got tied up going back to the Ohio end of the floor and either said or did something.

No, that sounds more like the exchange between Laster and Conner. Perkins got tossed because he argued an obvious foul call when he elbowed Simmons in the head (clearly not intentional). He started barking at the ref and his teammates tried to tell him to stop but he kept barking and got T'd. That T resulted in his 5th foul so he was out of the game anyway but he then did some more barking as he made his way to the bench and received another T which resulted in his ejection. Oats was none too happy at Perkins. Perkins' anger may have stemmed from a previous call or non-call as you suggest though. Really inconsistent job by the refs on Tuesday.
