Yeah..not in the mood for it either. Last year, it made sense. This year....just not feeling any more hoops after the way the last 10 seconds of this game unfolded.

No Saul on radio post-game, but Russ & Rob seemed to think/feel this team might not be all that interested in CBI/CIT and could just be done for the year. Not enough healthy bodies and the young guys already got a lot of minutes during the season. Might not be worthwhile to pay the $ to keep going. That was their thinking anyway.

In my mind you always keep playing if you can, but I dunno.

I could see them being one of the teams that says we'll play, but we're not buying home games. So if it works out so be it, if not they'll just not do it.

Good...you take a gut punch like that in the final ten seconds who really wants to play High Point in 3 days? Good decision by the athletic department. No Saul on post-game really tells you all you need to know. This one will sting for awhile.

Post season should help this team. We are returning most of the team. This team has talent and needs to play quality teams.

No Saul postgame has more to do with conference media requirements and placement of the broadcasters in the Joe Tait Perch.

This group doesn't strike me as one that will be running for the door when this season is declared over, which we have seen in the not entirely distant past.

I doubt we buy a home game this year, but I believe we play somewhere. Hopefully the NIT.

They should let Dozier play if we go to the CIT

The only way a MAC team makes the NIT is if Akron loses tomorrow.

Yeah it's CIT, CBI or pack it in at this point.

Also confirmed tonight on the post-game that the Vegas Tourney (both the 8 and 16 team varieties) is defunct and will not be returning.

There are typically MAC requirements for the head coach to be at the official MAC post game presser.

According to informed sources, if the team votes to continue to play we will, otherwise, we'll pack it in and call it quits until next year. My guess is that this team won't want to quit.

I vote for a CBI/CIT game at Lipscomb or Chattanooga so I can go...or one at the FedEx Forum vs Memphis the night before or after a Grizz game so a 2-for-1 college/pro game trip can be worked out.

How does that benefit the basketball program in any way?

I can't imagine any kid that old wanting to quit. Hell I used to get pissed when they turned off the lights in Grover and that was just pick up games.

Well now that is a really informed question because historically you always are a smart dude. I respect that you see the fact that once you "shut it down" you, by NCAA rules, do not have any more contact with the team. You go into off season mode. There is no instruction, no group work, no daily engagement of your athletes.

I want the basketball tournament equivalent of an EGOT- a championship in each of the post season tournaments. Go playthe CBI, CIT, whatever.. just win the dang thang!
