Knicks have a big problem on defense.
They are also running out of gas on the court.

According to the sports reports out here, they do this a lot.

Basically they assign their rookies to the "D" league for a day to practice with the "D" league team. Then they can call them back to practice with the Knicks the next day.

Right now they have 3 guys assigned to the "D" league.

That's my understanding as well. They did something similar over the weekend.

Between that, and the "15 guys on roster, but only 13 can be active for a game", I'm learning all sorts of obscure NBA transaction rules. Thanks, Mo :)

Undoubtedly, if at any point going forward he is going to be one of the Knicks' inactive players, he will be sent to the D League so that he can play instead of just watching.

As I posted earlier, when Mo made the Knicks roster the sports reporters added "for now".
That could mean the "D" league at some point.Especially with some players that are injured right now.

The Knicks are looking to be more aggressive on defense. Actually, they're looking for defense, period.Mo could fit in with that.

However,getting 5 fouls in around 7 minutes,did not,based on press reports,go over very well.

Does anyone know if Mo is still dinged up? I remember he had an ankle issue a few weeks back. A few Knicks bigs have been out the last few games and I still see Mo's stat line as DNP CD. Injured, or just not getting any run lately?

He was assigned to the D-League Westchester Knicks on the 10th. He played that night and had 17 pounds and 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. I see he was recalled and played 7 minutes for the Knicks on the 15th when they had some injuyr issues. Can't find any other info. I'm assuming he's just not playing because he's down on the depth chart.

I saw a bit of the Knicks game vs. Washingtons on Thursday night.

Admittedly, it was just one game and Porzingy was back after missing the prior four games...but that was some bad Knicks basketball. Looked like five guys on a court who'd never played together. Porzingy is averaging 20 points but it looks to be because he's a good athlete and tall with a nice shot that he can get off, partly due to his huge size. Was not that impressed with him in terms of any other skills.

Seems to me that defense is significantly about effort. Hence, such as the Knicks and Lakers are going to get outscored often.

Yeah, so Mo should get minutes.

Phil Jackson may have been a great coach but he's a lousy team president.

Lots of talk out here about what direction the Knicks should go in.

They are a train wreck (team and coaches/management).

Carmello agreed to waive his no trade clause, depending who they trade him to.He wants to go to a contender.Thing is,his skills are diminished so who'd want his contract ?

The future is Porzingas.

Most people say to use him as the nucleus and build through the draft.

Thing is,that takes time and the Knicks like the band-aid approach.

Rumor also has it,Jackson may opt out at the end of the year.

Most people can't believe they didn't suspend Derrick Rose for missing a game without telling anyone or returning calls or texts.

Why was he just fined ?

He's "fragile".

Mo with 7 points (career high?), including 1 of 2 from 3 in NY loss.

Mo and Antonio Campbell were in the same recruiting class, right? Under Christian?

You would think, with the current dysfunctional state of Knicks and a need for some on-court energy, Mo would see some more time. I know he is not (yet?) a 20 minute a night guy, but thought he would be more than "who" (see link) at this point.

Right now the Knicks' news is limited to:

1.Oakley vs. Dolan

2.Carmello being traded

3.How bad will their final w/l record be ?

Rumor has it that LeBron would like to see Cleveland go for Anthony.

I made a ridiculously low offer of $50 on this a few days ago and the counter offer was $300, so there is wiggle room if someone wants it. There is also a home jersey listed and a pair of shorts.

Actually I've been thinking about buying a replica one for $69.99.

My wife and I go to a Knick game now and then.
Maybe he'd autograph it.

Even if he doesn't,it would still be a cool memory of him with the Knicks.

New York Knicks beat reporter (NY Post) Mark Berman reporting that Nature Boy is out and on crutches with a sprained right ankle. No details on when/how injury occurred and for how long he will be out.

The Knicks lost twice to the Nets in the past week.
Going 0-4 on their road trip, which eliminates them from the playoffs, seems like a pretty good possibility.
