JC began the 2015-16 season knowing he would have 7 scholarships to fill at the end of year due to graduation. By the end of the year JC only had 3 commits. Two more players transferred out leaving the unfilled scholarship mark in April of 2016 at 6. He was able to scramble and fill 5.
JC started last season knowing he would have 4 scholarships to fill, 1 that was unused and 3 due to graduation. Half way through the season a freshman transferred out, upping the need to 5. As of today JC has just 1 signed recruit, a 2 star from Slovenia with no other D1 offers. A player transferred out at the end of the season pushing his total open scholarships back up to 5.
I'm just baffled at JC's inability to recruit ANYBODY to play for an ACC school. Even a crummy one like Boston College. its crazy.
It is pretty bizarre. You would think he would at least be able to load up on JUCOs. But, maybe BCs reputation for turning recruits down due to academics is very real.
