C'mon, Jeff.
Being objective, does Ohio have enough athletes on its roster to compete in the NCAA tourney, or even the NIT, next year? How do the top 7-9 players on our roster next year stack up against teams good enough to be invited to the dance? Personally, I see a big gap for next year and beyond.
Even without Campbell, we were about equal with the Uber athletic MAC teams...Buffalo, Kent, Akron.
I predict that we will add a couple of good guys this Spring and the incoming freshmen will contribute.
We will be fine. We earned the #2 seed without Tony.
We will have more quality depth. Remember, Phillips built a program at NDSU that advanced in the NCAA.
I agree with this. We were returning 7 of our top 8 minutes played (after Campbell went down) and now will be returning 6 instead. We also get Gollon back and are added what appear to be 3 very talented freshmen. If two of the freshmen contribute, that gives us 9 reliable players. That does not include whomever we add with this newly opened scholly. I see next year's lineup like this:
PG - Simmons, Butler, Gollon
SG - Dartis, Laster, Gollon
SF - Block, Vander Plas, Gollon
PF - Carter, Vander Plas, Dozier
C - Taylor, Gareri
If Wadley is back add him into the big man rotation for a couple minutes and then add in whomever we bring in with the last scholarship this year.
