The game did not carry much significance for the league standings but the build-up to that game for the rivalry was huge. The final 2-3 minutes (not even counting the final 3) were also one of the most exciting basketball games I've ever seen with a lot of lead changes and relatively few stoppages in play.
I was lucky enough to be a student at this point. After the shot fell, I jumped very high into the air. I remember my legs moving forward and a very slow-motion glance to my left and from the corner of my eye I was could see/feel a wall of students reassuring me I wasn't the only one rushing the court. Pure adrenaline.

TO, yes I remember that one, and it was a great win and a great play. One of my favorites in "modern times," for sure. Probably, my all-time favorite was the final play in OHIO's first ever win over the Evil Empire. The game was in St. John's arena. I don't recall which player got the layup, but with less than a minute to go OHIO has the ball under its own basket. The game is tied 80-80. Snyder calls a TO. Out of the TO, OHIO works some kind of a weave, and at the end of the weave, all of the OHIO players, save the guy with the ball, move toward the sidelines, drawing their men with them, the guy with the ball goes right down the center for an uncontested layup. It was kind of like the parting of the Red Sea. OHIO wins!

I was there with my father and my good friend, and now retired judge, Alan Goldsberry. I had forgotten until I looked this up, that the game was played on my father's birthday -- December 13. What a birthday present that was! ;-) I remember our happy ride back to Athens, and Alan kept saying, "Miracle Worker" in reference to Coach Snyder and his brilliant coaching and game winning play.

Kinda cheesy, but Leon Williams' 3-pointer versus George Mason in the Bracketbuster game in the Convo was pretty memorable.

There are so many.... And this has a heavy "recency bias".... How about:

1. Leon Williams tip in against Buffalo to win MACC in the epic comeback
2. Armon's dunk (with bench going crazy) against Akron in that absolutely crazy MACC.
3. Devaughn's poster dunk (and front page USA Today pic) against Georgetown. (OK, I cheated. I didn't see this in person -- but I don't care. I'm putting it on the list.)
4. Gary Trent. Dude was insane. Too many to count. Loved when he would get an offensive rebound on a free throw and then dunk it. Seemed like he did this once per game.
5. Brandon Hunter late three pointer in the Dean Dome in the win against UNC. Also him waiving everyone off and bringing the ball up the court the last 2 minutes after our PGs were melting down a bit.

Not plays, but walking out of an uptown establishment and watching QB Boo Jackson lead the rollicking student celebration of the sweet 16 win on court street. And, anytime Patrick Tufua joined the Ozone. And Charlie Coles pretending to sit down at the behest of the Ozone and then not doing so. And Bobcat Dragon in the Ozone....

Ah... good times....

Since, I've already contributed to this thread, I won't add another; however, I will encourage fansince49 to tell us about the OHIO-KSU come-from-behind overtime thriller of 1961.

Easy for me: Wednesday night game at BGSU, sophomore Gary Trent is seemingly trapped along the baseline on the right side of the basket. He somehow elevates and crosses over beneath the left side of the basket for one of the most powerful dunks I have ever seen. The crowd was stunned. We blew out the Falcons that night.

Oh, hmm...

-Terren Harbut dunking on two Marshall players at once in first round of the 2005 MAC Tourney. I think that game was the first college basketball game broadcasted on ESPNU.
-Bubba Walther pull up three off a crazy loose ball fast break late in the George Mason game. The loudest moment I can remember in the Convo.
-Armon's buzzer beater at IUPUI. Yep, drove up on a December weeknight and watched it with maybe 1,000 others in the Pacers' arena. That was a good payoff.

Favorite non-Bobcat play. That little guy from Lamar who alley-ooped all over Ricardo. Also saw Reggie get dunked on pretty good at Ball State.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I remember when he tied it and blew the roof off that place.

Not really a play but the post game celebration all the way up to Court Street after the DePaul Game in 1983 was probably my favorite basketball moment. I think it was either a Monday or a Tuesday and I was very proud of myself that I made my 10:00 class the next morning.

The 1994 MAC tournament in the Convention Center in Columbus. Gary Trent runs down the right side and goes up for an alley-oop. The pass is a little behind him, but with one hand he reaches back, catches the ball, and rocks the rim with a one-handed slam.

The place went NUTS! For those of you too young to have seen Trent play at OHIO, it was nothing short of watching a man play against children.

It's been mentioned on here but four words, said by Derek Scott:

"Williams tips it in!"

That was just so satisfying for me as I never saw a championship of any kind in hoops or football as a student but was more than glad to see it happen the year after I graduated!
