Win this game and we have a great shot at 3rd. Still don't think we catch Miami for 2nd, but you never know.

Feels like last game against Toledo will be for 3rd, but we have to win Tuesday obviously.

How is it Fiami only had to play Akron once and Toledo once?

Do have they have compromising pictures of somebody in the MAC office?

MAC felt bad for them since they haven't been relevant in over 15 years.

No easy games, but I'm sure Miami is circled. Along with Toledo, since they have a chance to jump them in the standings. Toledo plays Kent, Akron, Buffalo and us.

Right now we would play Kent State (5) as the 4.

If we jump Toledo into 3 we would play BALLS.

Posted this in the Akron thread but this is the definition of a let down/trap game.

I think we have finally figured out our best offensive approach, basically try to overwhelm the defense by attacking the rim with reckless abandon. Looking forward to seeing that against a very weak WMU defense.

notwithstanding our longstanding difficulties in K-zoo, I would actually be more worried if this were a home game. Road game should help the team be more business-like in approach, which is what is needed here. we can certainly lose this one, but I think the team will be dialed in.

As sobering reminder, in a recent game:

WMU 78, Miami 70
Kalamazoo, Mich.
University Arena

I know that Miami sucks, but still one must grudgingly admit that they are one of the better teams in the MAC this year, and they lost to WMU in Kalamazoo. If we don't bring our A game, we could easily lose.

Also, consider this we are 11-2 at home and 3-8 on the road. We are not exactly road warriors.

I do think we've got positive momentum and are better now -- as a team -- than we were a few weeks ago, so I'm hopeful. But a "W" is, unfortunately, not a given.

It's moved to -6.5 now.

OCF makes a good point about the Miami loss at Western. I saw us truck Western at the Convo, we are far better than the Broncos. But a let down in effort or a really bad shooting night could make this a tough one.

Another factor tonight could be how Western responds to possibly their worst loss of the season, 86-57 to rival Central this past Saturday in Kalamazoo.

I still think we win this game--just need a bit more focus/intensity on the glass. You can tell WMU is fired up for this game, but they aren't very good (9 first half TO's).

Win this one and we'll be alone in 3rd (assuming Kent holds their 24-point halftime lead vs Toledo).
