Agreed. He's already saving our bacon at the PG spot. He definitely needs to learn to take care of the ball better on offense - but he's a freshman. We'll have to take some lumps while he learns on the job, but I think he'll get there. For him to truly become "special" though he needs to develop some semblance of an outside shot. That's something I hope he works on in the coming off-seasons and develops over time. His FT stroke looked pure enough today.

Would be happy with just a 17 foot shot. Don't need him to make 3's especially when Carter gets back.

Absolutely. Just something to force the D to play him honest so he can use his quickness.

+1. Under the circumstances, that was perhaps the most impressive win I've ever seen us get. Not the most important game, of course, but probably the most incredible W.

So why did Mickle on play 5 minutes? I thought he would be getting much more playing time.

I've never wanted Ohio to win a game that meant that little so badly, and apparently, the Bobcats felt the same way. What an effort.

I am more proud of this team in a double overtime loss than I was for any game in DJ and Walt's senior year. If those teams or the past few years teams had the heart of this year's group they would have made the NCAA Tournament. We played 3 quality opponents and gave them all a huge collective heart attack. I hope the rest of the MAC is looking at us and thinking we are going to roll over because they are in for a long season. Mike Laster has been outstanding and given what he's playing with in terms of being the lone leader he has to go down as one of the all-time fan favorite Bobcats.

What sane person would ever believe Doug Taylor could play 45 minutes before collecting a 5th foul?

Gavin puking at halftime? Would not have thought he was going to make it through the 2nd half let alone 4 ot's

That was a gutty win. Can't wait to rewatch it on ESPN. Mike s shot looks good in the stills I am looking at.

THis team is tenacious and play for each other well. A quiet belief in each other.

Just got done watching the replay. One of the more remarkable games we've played since I've been a fan.

Also, Thanksgiving day at a household of IU grads just got more fun with this ammunition.

That was a real nice win today for this team. They kept playing as along as there was time on the clock. Several times they could have packed it in down big, down another front court player, players fouling out, fatigue. This team never panicked. This team played great defense. Not a lot of turnovers for a 60 minute game. They got a chance to practice late game situations a lot in this game. That will help a lot come MAC season. Bobcats had to play tough defense and value the ball and learn how to play as a team. Very unselfish team. Just amazing how they fought back down 18 in second half and then battle in four overtimes to get a win. Not a bad test this weekend playing an ACC, A-10 and MVC teams. Three teams from strong leagues. Bobcats have a few more tests before the MAC slate, but the got a lot better this week after a shaky first game. Once they get some help inside later this season they should be a very good team.

Lamenting that they do NOT play zone sounds familiar. That is entertaining. Can't wait to listen to JMV this afternoon on 1070 the Fan following Dakich. Can't figure out if John will lambast the Colts or Trees first.

Even the fans know the difference. Sad that ESPN can't get it right

Just curious as I know every team has them-are there a lot of Indiana State fans who think that the Larry Bird era was the rule not the exception? Do they expect the Sycamores to be a nationally relevant, top 25 force year in and year out? Or are they a little more tempered, wanted to see some some non conference wins and see a good showing in the MVC? Caught my attention that a sports talk show host would even give a lot of air time talking about a mid-major program on a Monday. I do realize though that basketball is more meaningful in Indiana than Ohio, though.

I have a confession.

I did something I've never done before.

I turned off a Bobcat basketball game before it was finished.

When Key hit the 3 to put Indiana St. up by 9 with 90 seconds left, I decided to save my final 18% of phone battery and shut 'er down, thinking the Bobcats put up a great fight to get back into the game, but ran out of gas.

When I looked at the final score hours later, I dropped my phone. They came back again from 9 down with 90 seconds to go?

WOW.

I will go back and watch the replay.

And I'll never give up on them again.

I probably would have done the same if not already confined to my desk anyway for a work call. But I did call time of death at that same moment.

LOL, I did the same thing although I was at my son's basketball game listening to Russ and Rob. The sports gods made me pay though because I switched it to watch my Redskins on my phone just after they had taken a 31-16 lead over the Saints. Got into my car just as that game was going to OT shocked to see Cats game still going with a few seconds left in the 4th OT. Was able to get my mind off the Skins debacle by watching the replay of the Cats when I got home.
