Saw an Arkley tweet that seemed to indicate that Lou might be out of favor with some in the department. Hopefully that is not the case. Lou is the best around and a perfect fit for OU.

PA Announcer should not be in the Top 500 things this Athletic Department is concerned with at this time....

No clue, but that is exactly the tone of Arkley’s tweet

However, as always Go Navy, Beat Army! ;-)

As if I don't have enough to complain about and they want to go after Lou....... good lord.

On a serious note, if they even come close to attempting to push him out, I am confident that there will be numerous folks who tell Ohio Athletics to go pound sand.

I thought this season couldn't get much worse...then I read this. If Lou is pushed out, it will be worse.

Well, if people feel strongly about Lou, I suggest it’s time to do what Arkley said, and I believe that would require more than just a post on a message board.

Hate to speculate on someone's employment but any ideas as to why this situation exists?

Pretty weird. I don't mean to downplay the job but how does a PA guy fall out of favor?

Well, let's see...what has changed since last year? Oh, the university's president. Perhaps he doesn't like Lou's style and has made that known within the inner reaches of the Roundhouse?

Speaking of the prez it was interesting to see him up out of his seat screaming at Groce last night when John was giving Saul grief.

Trump doesn't like Lou? I can believe that.

More's changed than that.

How does the guy playing the mascot fall out of favor (other than tackling another team's mascot)? Change of ownership: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-marlins/fl-sp-ma...

There has to be more to the story than a cryptic tweet?

+1...and not for the better. The department has lost any connection with SE Ohio and is being run by people who won't even be here in 3 years. If Lou is forced out, I may still go to games - but my Bobcat Club donations are history. Suspect I'm not alone here.

So Ohio Athletics is a revolving door in about every spot, and we have someone that does a great job and wants to be a part of it for the long haul. Why would that be fiddled with?

Ohio State longtime PA announcer Matt McCoy took a vacation ... was out for a game ... came back and was let go. It happens. When the atmosphere is stale (like it is at The Schott in Cbus) changes happen. It's not necessarily Mccoy's fault at O$U or Lou's fault at Ohio ... but people in charge love scape goats

The atmosphere is stale because attendance has tanked. The greatest PA announcer in the world couldn't get our crowd of 50 students (3 of them standing) to make a difference.

That's not the announcers responsibility anyway.

Lou does a great job. Period.

Hell yeah he does. I couldn't think of anything that would cause a quicker mutiny among the fanbase. :D
