"Join us for Craft Beer Night. Tickets for Craft Beer Night are $35 and includes game ticket, food, and craft beer or $25 for a game ticket, food, and soft drinks. Space is limited so order today!!"

Hmmmm... marketing? Novel idea.

Also, if we were frustrated about Elton... imagine Toledo fans.

Ted - Toledo is 18-7, not 18-1. ;)

Rockets are absolutely on fire right now. They've won 10 of their last 11 and 13 of their last 15. Their two MAC losses have come to Buffalo on the road in a high scoring affair and Ball State at home where they failed to score 70.

In the first go around, Ohio shot horribly from three and only had 7 assists on 22 made baskets. Toledo won the rebounding battle by 19 and shot 60% from three. I expect a little regression to the mean on both sides, plus Ohio is going to be ticked off about the last game they got blown out (like CMU). Should be closer than the last one...I hope. :(

Cats are 10.5 pt underdogs. I have to imagine it's been a very, very long time since we were this large an underdog for a conference game.

Somehow only down 10 at half.

Might be nice to not spend the first 6 minutes of every game trying to figure out where the frigging hoop is.

I at least see a team that is fighting in the middle of this second half. Some of these foul calls are dogshit and are not consistent with what was and was not called in the first half.

We benefited from Toledo going cold, but that was actually a very good second half.

Nice game from Mickle and Kirk. Jordy needed the ball more in the game and toward the end not sure why he was subbed out when he is your best 3 pt. shooter. Way to fight back Bobcats!

Definitely a much better showing than the last game against Toledo. Kind of bizarre times that Ohio beat The Rockets by 35 in football but lost both games in hoops.

Was not able to watch the game but just following the Twitter feed it seem like there was definitely a lot of heart and effort. I'm hoping that the patchwork/banged up line up that's been logging a lot of minutes is using all of this experience to build towards next year.

A part of me is kind of seeing how this year maybe similar to the 2003-2004 season as it was just disappointing all around but served as a springboard into the next year that ended in the NCAA tournament.

Not apples to apples I know but with the way things have gone this season I am trying to find things to be excited about for the immediate future.

We didn't play a bad game. But we often play just well enough to lose.

Gavin Block, 28 minutes, ZERO pts. His offensive game has been offensive the last couple weeks.

When I commit a defensive foul in a pickup game, I sometimes say that the foul was very offensive. Most guys don't get the play on words. You would!

My take - Block w/Carter on the floor opens better opportunities for Block (and Carter), including better possession ball movement for all. I see rushed, uncomfortable attempts - desperate attempts not likely to warm the hands or confidence level up

Block had Carter last year and averaged 7 and shot 42%. He has to be consistent, point blank. He is a decent player other wise. He is a junior, he should not be have multiple 0 fors with his skill set. Good news is that it is not too late to turn it on.

When in doubt....always blame injuries. It's the go to excuse this year.

[/QUOTE]I agree. We're committing mistakes that kids in biddy ball would make. As a former basketball player it makes me annoyed to see these mistakes happen because they should know better by now.

Block w/Carter LY MUCH greater combo than the not combo TY. Inside/out, rotation opps, ball movement, etc. etc.

He did the same thing last year, stats don’t lie.

The one question I have:

How many bricks and how many turnovers can you put up with from some of your guys before you sit them?

Yeah, his last three games were 13 pts., 14 pts. and 16 pts., respectively. Absolutely brutal.

Better question: How bad is your depth, bench and recruiting when a bricklaying turnover machine is the best option?

This program is in bad shape.

Yup^^^. Injuries are no excuse for guys who are playing to not have good fundamentals on the court. I continue to be concerned about the lack of fan interest in our program right now...it's dwindling. This board used to be hopping with comments following games. Now, barely anything. Program lacks sizzle...starts with the coach. #13Months
