Agree. A front court player of any size and play style with multiple years of eligibility remaining would be ideal.
But that's sad for St. Francis and is telling of the state of the sport. The kid has a pretty good freshman season and he believes the "right" move is to bolt. Now, SFU was only 8-22 and that's down from the year prior, so maybe there's bad culture or a future he doesn't believe in, but how is SFU supposed to build themselves back up?
Cases like this only make me wonder how many of our own all-time "greats" that arrived as freshman and finished their eligibility here would have left if the current NIL and transfer portal existed in their time? Gary? Leon? Jerome? DJ? Tony? Only thing I can say with certainty is Fears would have entered the portal before he left Bridgestone Arena after the Florida loss.
Speaking of Saint Francis, they've had the same coach for last 12 years and have won only 36 games in the last four years. They sure are riding a wave of an NIT berth in 2019. What are they doing over there?
