I saw the announcement of a new tourney next November called the Greenbrier Tip-off at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. Featuring Pitt, Wisconsin, UCF and a 4th team TBD. Would love to be that 4th team! Has there been any news of destination events next season yet?

I thought I overheard we are returning a game with Davidson at the Charlotte Hornets arena.

Austin Peay at home, likely.

I'd bet on Marshall or WVU being that fourth team.

The first complete* non-conference schedule announcement across the country is made by... the Toledo Rockets.

https://twitter.com/RoccoMiller8/status/17885997706147598...

*Sun Belt challenge opponents not yet disclosed.

On one end of the spectrum, you have Houston and Purdue back to back. On the other end, Defiance.

I could live with a Defiance on the schedule if we had two P5's, although I'd prefer nothing like the former. Curious to see what the Boardwalk Battle field looks like. Supposed to be top Mid Majors.

I really hope with a roster full of returnees, our schedule is beefed up.

Absolutely incredible that Toledo has its non-con schedule wrapped up on May 9th. We know the drill here. Ohio's non-con schedule won't be known until late September.

Would love to see another P5 come to the Convo like Purdue did 4-5 years back.

How did that game even come about?

The 24-25 D1 docket is live

We will play at Marshall. A home game with Austin Peay and a return with Davidson are not acknowledged.

Well we know Boals shot his shot for Kentucky via Twitter. We’ll never get them in Athens, but let’s go to Lexington at least.

I have heard from others that Ohio will play in the Myrtle Beach Invitational (the one they played in Boals's first year as the HC). Hopefully, this would have a strong field. I am relieved they are playing in an 8-team tourney. I hate these MTE or four-team fields. I like the traditional 8-team pre-season tourneys. Only 11 of these tourneys remain and Ohio has played in one of them in back-to-back years.

I also heard these games; some were already mentioned before:

Austin Peay
@Davidson in Charlotte
Myrtle Beach Invitational
@Marshall

MMGrad2022.....how certain of this are you? This would be awesome. Agree about MTE tourneys...they suck. Myrtle Beach Invitational always gets quality teams. Would love to see this happen.

Instead of worrying about what teams a tournament field consists of just play Pitt, Duquesne and Bobby Mo in succession and perhaps a Penn State too. The tournament are all games away from Athens as would these four.

Pittsburgh is a fun place to spend a few days and close to Bobcat Nation.

FYI -- last year's Myrtle Beach field was solid -- Wyoming, St. Louis, Furman, Vermont, Charleston, Wichita, and Coastal Carolina.

Also takes place the week before Thanksgiving.

Hope the Myrtle Beach rumor comes true, would definitely consider making the drive for that. Spent a week there for son's baseball spring break trip and had a blast.

I don’t love MTE’s either, but it’d be cool to be one of the final two teams in this one with Stony Brook and Marquette, given our connections to Geno and SB.

Meanwhile, North Dakota is hosting Alabama.

I mean, it's obviously a homecoming for Grant Nelson, but still.

Even if for Grant Nelson, that’s still pretty wild.

Surprised we haven’t seen anything on the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

Previous fields were released in early May. Someone on Twitter claims Bradley is in it.

CMU got in on the MTE I posted about above with Marquette and Stony Brook.

I did see where Wichita State didn't announce they were in 2023 Myrtle Beach field until August 3rd last year.
