We contacted EKU’s Juan Cranford. From Dayton, averaged 12ppg and is 6’4.

Saw him play in high school. Elmore James build, but I think the 6'4" might be generous. Key player as a true freshman at St. Francis PA in getting them to the play-in round. I'd have left St. Francis too.

When can we start to expect free agen...portal signings? Now that the tourney is passed, does "season" open on player signings?

As soon as today. A few players have already committed to other schools. Simmons and Breath for example, committed on this day last year. Unsure if we'll see that again or not.

Been in contact with Tyler Kropp according to Logan Adams. Might be the first time we’ve had someone report a portal interest like this. Kropp was at Northwestern and is a Powell, OH native. Kropp does follow the Ohio Men’s Basketball page, but I’m guessing that has more to do with being local?

My contact who said Kyler was priority and mentioned Royal said there’s “a lot of buzz around Kropp”. Hasn’t heard anything about Makitan, but also was unaware of the Boals run in tidbits with Miami fan.

I saw on the internets he was told he would be the 6th man at UConn.

That’s quite a leap, but like I said the choice between bench player at UCONN/FLORIDA/P5 or potential star player in the MAC is a tough one. A real hurdle we have to figure out a way to clear eventually. Maybe it’ll work itself out, but lack of PT doesn’t feel as necessary to kids these days. Money. Bright Lights. Cant say I blame them.

For sure. We have 6 spots to fill after Kyler’s commitment. If Makitan is real, we bring in Kropp/Greer; things are interesting again.

I’d also like to see Sean Jones, who played with Javan.

Kyler D seems appropriate and a good add, but saying we won't experience any drop off from Pavs is an extremely ambitious outlook.

RJ Greer excites me as much as anyone else mentioned. Would only be a Sophomore and seems like a good JJ Kelly replacement but with a better shot. Neither White nor Cupps excite me much.
