Tyler Russ was enjoying an excellent freshman campaign at outside linebacker last year. He had started the first seven games and was third on the team in tackles until he suffered a potentially career-ending knee injury on a questionable block in the Kentucky game. But the sophomore is back, healthy and looking forward to the 2004 season.
Anthony Hackett's 26 receptions last year were the most by a Bobcat since 1993. He also recorded two of the eight longest receptions in Ohio history with an 83-yard grab against Miami and a 71-yarder vs. Iowa St. The junior from Salem, Virginia is looking to have another breakout season in new Offensive Coordinator Phil Earley's more balanced attack.
