ATHENS – AJ Clayton and Ohio had a huge second half to take down Northern Illinois 78-66 and snap a three-game losing streak Saturday at The Convo.

Clayton matched a career high with 23 points, including 19 in the second half when the Bobcats began with a 16-5 run to take control after trailing 35-32 at halftime.

ATHENS – Toledo scored the first 13 points, briefly lost the lead, but then pulled away to hand Ohio an 86-77 loss in the Mid-American Conference opener Tuesday night at The Convo.

CLEVELAND – Davidson rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit to beat Ohio 72-69 on Saturday afternoon in the Legends of Basketball Showcase at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Bobcats held a 45-35 lead early in the second half, allowed the Wildcats to take the lead at 50-48 with 14:08 to go, and then went back up 61-55 with 7:01 remaining. CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – In a close game throughout, Austin Peay held off Ohio 71-67 on Friday night at FM Bank Arena.

ATHENS – Ohio snapped its two-game losing streak in a big way, blowing out Division III Defiance 108-28 on Monday night at The Convo, matching the largest margin of victory in school history.

ATHENS – Ohio could not overcome a slow offensive start and suffered a rare home loss, 78-72, against Youngstown State on Wednesday night at The Convo.
