Led by Morris, No. 6 Kansas thumps Ohio
Bobcats shoot just 23.7 percent, miss all 18 3-pointers

LAS VEGAS – Ohio shot only 23.7 percent and committed 22 turnovers in getting blown out by No. 6 Kansas, 98-41, at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Friday night.
Marcus Morris made 11 of 14 shots, scoring 26 points and finishing with eight rebounds in a dominating effort.
D.J. Cooper led the Bobcats (3-2) but was just 7 of 18 from the field and had no assists. Ohio had only three assists in the game and missed on all 18 of its 3-point attempts.
After an Ivo Baltic layup tied the game at 2 with 17:36 remaining in the first half, Morris and Brady Morningstar had five points each during a 10-0 Kansas run.
The Jayhawks (5-0) pushed their lead to 43-20 by halftime and scored the first nine points of the second half.
Travis Releford had 13 points off the bench, while Markieff Morris scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Kansas made good on 56.5 percent of its shots from the field and held a 42-31 rebounding advantage.
The victory was fairly standard for the Jayhawks, who so far have averaged 92.5 points per game while allowing just 52.2.
Ohio returns to action in Las Vegas, taking on Santa Clara at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
