Akron stops Ohio, streak 69-49

Akron completed a regular season sweep with a 69-49 rout of Ohio Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. The loss breaks the Bobcats 11-game home court winning streak. The Zips (15-7, 9-5 MAC) capitalized on poor Ohio shooting to jump out to a 14-0 lead and would go into halftime up 39-15. The Bobcats (13-9, 8-6) shot 16.1% from the field in the first half, 30% for the game and was 0-for-15 on 3-pointers. Mychal Green and Sonny Troutman finished with 12 points each to lead the 'Cats. Bubba Walther led four Akron players in double figures with 14 points.
