Ohio used a balanced scoring attack to beat Kent State 74-71 Saturday afternoon in the Convocation Center. The Bobcats (8-12 Overall, 5-7 MAC), bolstered by the return of Delvar Barrett and Sonny Johnson, had four players in double-figure scoring. Brandon Hunter upped his double-double streak to eight straight games with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Steve Esterkamp also had 16 while Sonny Johnson and Jeff Halbert had 12 apiece. Antonio Gates had 30 points and 13 rebounds for the MAC East-leading Golden Flashes (17-5, 10-4) who have now lost three straight.
