In his third recruiting class, Tim O'Shea signed four high school seniors to National Letters-of-Intent during the November signing period. BobcatAttack.com proudly presents the 2003-04 recruiting class.
Matt Annen, 6-6, 220, Forward
Annen, attends Elk River High School in Minnesota where he has earned three letters during his career. He averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds as a junior, helping the team to the sectional final. The Elks advance to the state quarterfinals his sophomore season. Annen has a 3.5 GPA and has already scored a 19 on the ACT.
Sonny Troutman, 6-5, 204, Forward
Troutman was an all-state and all-county selection at Indianapolis? Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School last season. He averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals per game. He is listed among ESPN?s Top 100 Prospects (No. 69) and a candidate for Indiana?s Mr. Basketball Award.
Eric Clemons, 6-8, Center
Clemons transferred to Reading High School for his senior season after three years at Mariemont. He earned three letters in basketball and one in track there, averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots per game.
Whitney Davis, 6-3, Guard
Davis is from Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, the same school that produced current Bobcat James Bridgewater. He earned first-team All-Detroit West and all district honors last season, averaging 16.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest. He led his team to the district championship and a 20-4 last year. Davis was moved to varsity as a sophomore and posted a double-double (24 points and 10 rebounds) in his initial appearance. "At 180 pounds, he has great post moves," Coach Brian Townsend said. "He can shoot the three, get to the basket and score in the post. Where LaVell (Blanchard, U-M) was able to post up and shoot the three and (Ryan) Sidney (Boston College) was great off the dribble, Whitney is the best I've had to do all three."
