Brandon Hunter tallied 28 points and 12 rebounds and Steve Esterkamp notched 18 points and 10 boards Saturday to lead Ohio to an 89-77 exhibition victory Saturday at the Convo over a group of college, international and CBA all-stars.
Fellow senior Sonny Johnson also reached double figures for the Bobcats with 16 points.
Former South Florida star and CBA player Brian Taylor led the way for International Select with 20 points, while Joel Bullock and Jordan Kardos tallied 13 apiece.
After Ohio opened hot early, the opposition closed to within six, 55-49, with just under 15 minutes to play. But the Bobcats scored 15 of the next 19 points to open their biggest margin of the game, 83-66, and clinch the victory.
Ohio returns to action for its second exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 27, when it faces HP Minnesota at 8 p.m. The Bobcats' regular season starts two weeks from tonight at Providence.
