ATHENS – On its home court for the first time this season, Ohio shot 52% and downed Cleveland State 81-70 for its first victory Saturday at The Convo.

The Bobcats (1-1) went 12 of 22 (54.5%) from long range and made 17 of 19 (89.5%) free throws while holding a comfortable lead throughout the second half against the Vikings (0-3).

Jaylin Hunter led Ohio with 17 points and seven assists, with Miles Brown scoring 14 points with four assists and Devon Baker adding 13 points.

ATHENS – Another slow start doomed Ohio in a 91-83 loss to Akron on Friday night at The Convo.

The Bobcats fell behind 46-26 at halftime, with only a late push making the final score as close as it was.

ATHENS – Ben Vander Plas had the fourth triple-double in the history of the men’s basketball program as Ohio bounced back from a blowout loss to Kent State with a dominant 76-50 victory against Central Michigan on Tuesday night at The Convo.
