TOLEDO – Ohio could not slow down hot-shooting Toledo and dropped a 90-75 decision Tuesday night at Savage Arena.

The Rockets (12-6, 3-2 Mid-American Conference) shot 55.6% overall, including 67.9% in the first half when they built a 52-31 lead. RayJ Dennis scored 25 points with nine rebounds, while JT Shumate added 21 points and six rebounds.

ATHENS – Dwight Wilson III scored a career-high 27 points, but it was not enough as Ohio fell to Mid-American Conference-leading Kent State 70-65 on Friday night at The Convo.

Trailing by 12 points in the second half, the Bobcats (9-8, 1-3 MAC) got to within three, but the Golden Flashes (14-3, 4-0 MAC) were able to close it out.

ATHENS – Jaylin Hunter scored a career-high 23 points, and Dwight Wilson posted a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds as Ohio picked up its first Mid-American Conference win and handed Ball State its first MAC loss, 76-71, on Tuesday night at The Convo.

BOWLING GREEN – Kaden Metheny scored 25 points and Bowling Green finished strong to take an 88-79 victory against Ohio on Saturday evening at The Convo.

The Bobcats held a four-point lead with six minutes to go, but the Falcons followed with an 11-0 run, and Ohio got no closer than five after that.

ATHENS – Ohio opened up a big halftime lead and coasted toa 76-59 victory against Chicago State to cap nonconference play Friday night at The Convo.

AJ Brown and AJ Clayton scored 13 points each, and Dwight Wilson had 12 points in a balanced effort for Ohio, which led 42-23 at halftime. The Bobcats (8-5) led by nearly 30 points at 74-45 with 3:46 remaining.

YOUNGSTOWN – Dwight Wilson’s shot hung on the rim and fell through at the buzzer to give Ohio an 81-79 victory against Youngstown State on Sunday afternoon at the Beeghly Center.
