Disappointed and confused about how the season ended the way it did. But ladies, you gave us a wonderful season with lots of success to build on. THANK YOU Hannah, Kelly and Chelsea...best wishes for success in the future.

So we're just assuming they don't get a bid?

We were very borderline before tonight...I think we are out after tonight's loss.

The brackets are out and the Bobcats failed to make it to the dance.

That kind of blows. COngrats to COach and the squad on a stellar season. Not sure what all goes into selection but it does not diminish the accomplishment of a new coach putting a system in place and a really exceptional run in season.

23-6

Not sure how it all works nut yes we seemingly should be right there. Have not figured out how Mich State got in/ tO$U ranked 29th with a 11 loss season I assume speaks to SOS but I have a hard time buying tha head to head means nothing when coupled with a 6 loss season.

Last team in is Seton Hall with an RPI of 47.

OHIO out with an RPI of 44. East bias strikes again.

Seton hall Made the Big East Championship game. Probably helped their cause. Interesting to see how many teams OHIO beat and to whom they lost. The AVCA coaches rankings of top 25 OHIO was in till the last 3 weeks and yet still got votes after they dropped out. It is puzzling how deep the committee went into the B10 and ignored the 6 loss record OHIO put up against teams that made the cut. No doubt that Northwestern loss would look better as a win

NCAA screws up brackets every year. Purdue doesn't make it yet USC does with .500 record. Penn St and Wisconsin in same regional. Wow. Feel bad for the Bobcats. Should of made the tourn.

This isn't new. I told my sister, who follows this closely and is a big Penn St fan, that there is a general bias toward Big 10 teams. She was hard pressed to disagree.

I may be misquoting Ryan from several years ago when we failed to win the MAC tourney, then went out and beat a Notre Dame team that went to the NCAA in our final regular season game, and still failed to go to The Dance. Ryan said something to the effect that if you didn't have an RPI of 40 or better you probably were not gonna get an at large bid. I am not sure if he qualified it by saying if you were a MAC team...but it's pretty obvious that as is the case for hoops, MAC volleyball teams will rarely receive a break from the committee.

As expected, Western is swept by No. 4 seed Wisconsin, although one set was 26-24. Ohio would have had a better opening round match, given their ranking. Also, Marquette and former OHIO coach Theis goes down 3-2 to Ill. St. and Dayton beats American 3-1.

Big10 is one of the top VB conferences in the country, that bias is probably well deserved.

at least this year, billy, you make a good point. B10 kicked ass the entire tourney...
