Friday sweep at Akron; 22-18-16

Despite 15 service errors, Ohio controlled all other phases of the match. The Cats showed their offensive diversity with 6 players having 5 or more kills. With new ‘Kron coach Tom Hanna, it looks like we may be seeing a more competitive brand of ball from the Zips in the future

Saturday sweep at Buffalo: 16-13-12

A totally crushing performance by Ohio, highlighted in the 2nd set when Jaime Kosiorek served a 13 point run with an incredible 8 aces. Never seen such a thing before. The Cats used 14 players in this dominating offensive and defensive display. Even sevice errors were down to a respectable 7.

The Cats are now 16-3 overall, 6-0 in the MAC, the only unbeaten team remaining in conference. After 4 road sweeps, the ladies return to the Convo for 2 matches next weekend.

28th in the coaches poll with 24 points in the voting. Another sweep this weekend may nudge us back into the top 25.

Goes to show how important this weekend at WMU and NIU is. Not only for the rankings, but to remain on top of the conference as well. Hopefully the girls can luck out with some bad losses to the teams in front of them, and get two defining wins on the road.
