Dayton has been a force in volleyball in recent years, with a RPI last year of 24. They have completely dominated the Atlantic Conference, undefeated last year, with an incredible 106-9 record in the last 8 years.

The Flyers, 2-1, are an experienced upperclass-laden team who will present a big challenge for the young 3-0 Bobcats. They have already beaten 2 future Cat opponents, NIU and High Point, by scores of 3-1. Lost to West coast power Cal. Poly.

Tuesday, live video at 7.

My man Dean has to learn to call TIME OUT! 3rd game meltdown(rightfully so, because of injuries) but with players shaken and looking tired BE SMART.

I expressed my doubts about playing this game at Dayton a little too soon after the Alabama trip. I wonder if any of these key injuries were because the players' bodies were exhausted. One will never know.

The team did look great, before the injuries.

Not a good night to be a team captain. Jaimee and Katie both suffered game ending injuries. I was watching on the Dayton TV network, no specific information
was given as to the nature of the injuries. Jaimee's appeared to be quite serious, and I believe it was in the knee area. Katie had a look of pain and disgust on her face also, that may indicate that it was also serious. Hopefully we are dealing with sprains, not tears or broken bones.

Prior to the injuries Ohio looked like the better team. Better than how they looked last year, in my eyes. After Jaimee went down, Carley Remmers came in and played great. They still looked quite capable of winning the match. On the last play of the second game, Katie was injured, and after that, the team fell apart. In my opinion, part of the unwinding was do to the loss of talent, but also the loss of leadership impacted the loss, with such a young team. Just my opinions, not necessarily correct ones.

I believe Natalie Burchesky was not available. I see she is on the roster. Is she injured also?

So sorry for Jaime, a special player for 3 years. And what a loss for the team. Time to re-group.

What is the likelihood she would medical redshirt? It would be a really sad way for her to go out as a senior if that's not an option on the table.

Concussion. Day to day. I didn't see her at the Georgia match.

That is encouraging to hear, as even without Jaime, the team played at a high level on Tuesday against Dayton, until Katie left the match.

Sorry to hear about Jaime.
