I'm peeking the video with Samford, and it's early, but Vera and Tia are reaaaaally nice finds.

Nice weekend, congratulations ladies!

Schedule seems a bit brutal. Classes start tomorrow, but there is an away game at Dayton on Tuesday. I do like the idea of playing Dayton earlier in the season than we previously have scheduled. However, I hope the team can find the energy after traveling this weekend, then having to drive two hours, to play at Dayton on Tuesday.

Oh well, it is good to be young. It should help the team prepare for the high level of competition coming in to Athens this weekend.

Agree the schedule is tough, solid prep for the MAC: Dayton, then Georgia and Oklahoma at home this weekend, then away/neutral games against VCU, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Penn State.

Great to see 2 freshmen, Vera Giacomazzi (MVP) and Tia Jimerson, and a soph., Lizzie Stephens, make the All-Tourney team. Jamie Kosiorek also had a solid tourney and would have made it too if not for the home player at same position who had a great tourney too.

Deane Webb on the team’s tourney play, as reported on the OU athletic site:
"It's good to see the young kids find success," said Webb. "It's good that we have a team that will embrace young players being successful. That's not always the case. Some teams, if a kid comes in and has success early, some people would have an issue with that. It truly is a supportive group. A number of upperclassmen played well, also. Today, and, for the weekend, those kids played a little bit better. It says a lot for our potential. It says a lot for what we can be this year. It says a lot that we're nowhere near our potential right now. It also says a lot for future years."
