Last year's volleyball team placed 16th in the nation in attendance with an average of 2106 per match. This puts them ahead of many teams in the 3 elite conferences, the PAC 12, Big 12, and Big 10. And once again, they draw more fans than THE Ohio State University. Nobody in the MAC is close, with Ball State next at 82nd. Nebraska is the run away winner, averaging over 8000.

The previous year, Ohio, the MAC champions, place 15th with an attendance average of 2200.

Just talked to a local athlete here from Muncie that played at BG. She had a great dissertation on how it was to come to OHIO to play. FOrmidable was an adjective she used. Played a year at Anderson then Stroh. Interesting to see her ande hear her talk.
