Your deduction is incorrect. The reason it is no longer on the schedule is because it NEVER was on the schedule.

The team will be hosting their first Little Bobcats Clinic prior to the match.

July 16, 2010

ATHENS, Ohio - The reigning Mid-American Conference Regular Season and Tournament champion Ohio University volleyball team will hold its annual Green & White Scrimmage on Sunday, August 22, at 2 p.m. The event, which will be held at the Convocation Center, is free to the public.

Prior to the scrimmage, head coach Ryan Theis and members of the Bobcat program will host a youth clinic starting at noon inside the Convo. Registration details for the clinic, which includes a pizza party at the conclusion of the session, will be announced at a later date.

The Ohio players will begin to warm up for the scrimmage at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET, with the match slated to get underway thirty minutes later.

Fans are encouraged to remain at The Convo following the match, when the team will be available to sign autographs.

The Bobcats will open the 2010 season that Friday in a home match with VCU at 11 a.m.  The team will then travel to Louisville, Ky. for matches against the host Cardinals and North Dakota State. Ohio will host the Baymont Inn & Suites Invitational on September 10-11 with matches against BCS programs Pittsburgh, Northwestern and Tennessee.

I thought I saw it on the schedule but it's good that it is still on. Thanks for the confirmation. Even tho it is a scrimmage match, it's not a bad idea to list it on the schedule. It 'll be easier for the fan to check the schedule, not having to dig through the archived news, don't you think?
