Bobcats sweep Buffalo.

Shocked at Miami beating WMU.

Puzzled at NIU losing to Toledo.

All in all, what a weird day of volleyball in the MAC.

Had some internet issues -- sorr for the delay.

Northern is still alive; top seed Ball State looked lost against Toledo.  Just couldn't get anything going.

Buffalo played us close the first two sets, but Ohio came out hot in the third and took a quick 8-3 lead before blowing the bulls away 25-8 in the third.  Really clicked in that last set.  A little concerned about Meryl, who appeeared to be ill and was being attended to by the trainer after the match.  Will check on her tomorrow.

Rematch with Fiami Saturday night.

Typical partial sellout at the SeaGate...

Theis actually predicted we'd be playing the deadhawks, so credit to him.  Really like the way we blew the doors off the Beefs.  That's what I want to see.

The heck happened to the Cards?

NIU vs Toledo - I am tempted to say NIU over UT but who knows! This is the most unpredictable year since 2004.
Ohio vs Miami - Go OHIO! Miami is a comeback team and is a strong defense team esp in blocking. If Ohio keeps distributing  the balls around to fool their blocks, we should have higher chance. They tend to use triple blocks against Ohio, so we should be ready for that.

A team effort. Our experienced players, Meryl, Sue, Katie and Mandy were strong, Lexie is really stepping up, and Kelly and Mollie are helping to control the backline.

For the MAC title, Sunday at 3, Sports Time OHIO TV will have Northern Illinois vs our OHIO Bobcats!

Actually, folks, as one who witnessed the game, the Cats won without the "A" game tonight.  A LOT of unforced errors.  Sue and Lexie had some struggles and weren't in sync.  We got the points when we needed them, but honestly this match was closer than it really should have been.

Now, on to the Championship game for the 7TH STRAIGHT YEAR!!

LET'S GO CATS!!

Edit:  Got a chance to meet some of the players' parents this evening -- what  a great group of Bobcats fans!!
