There will be a free Green and White volleyball scrimmage this Friday at 7 in the Convo for those interested in seeing Geoff's return. It will be followed by a scrimmage with Duquesne on Saturday at 2.
Both are free (unless you spent innumerable weeks on an oil tanker scow as a squid).

The Duquesne scrimmage gives us a chance to welcome Jamie Kosiorek back to the convo. She's an assistant coach for the Dukes.

According to twitter we beat Duquesne 3 to 1 on Saturday.
A positive start.


We play in Columbus against Washington on Friday. They finished 4th in the country last year. Oh well, hopefully we can put on a respectful showing.

We lost the first 37-35. It was close the entire way. The next three we won convincingly.

The NCAA single set scoring record came in the 3rd set of a match between St.Mary's and Santa Clara which St. Mary's won 22-25 25-22 44-46 26-24 15-11.

I also found the longest set ever,87-85, in a professional Czech League game. Just thinking about that calls for a long tall brew.
