Tonight was nothing but ugly. Watching the streaming feed, I saw virtually no heart out of the girls tonight. If I was Ryan, I would have had them back out on the floor after the game was over.

Wish I could argue with you, but tonight was beyond disappointing...

Didn't see the match (fortunately), but stats indicated team had only 4 blocks, one of their strengths.

WMU is a strong team, and, like us, are very young, so they will be a challenge for some time. BG's win over the only weak team in the West (Toledo) kept the East from losing all matches. Could be a West sweep tonight if OHIO doesn't get it done against the top team, NIU.

Is there any doubt anymore that the MAC has several teams who have caught up to the Bobcats?  It's been coming for several years, although the team wins when it has to at tournament time.  Not really knocking the Bobcats, just saying the league has been catching up for years and some (myself at least) don't think that's entirely a bad thing.

Can't say that I disagree with you.  I do think some other teams in the MAC have been stepping it up.  What I'd really like to see is teams taking on more ambitious pre-conference schedules to build some national credibility for the MAC.  BUGS, for example, started out 12-0 this season -- but there were few impressive W's (Michigan State was the only W over a major conference team).  Look at how they've done so far and tell me how well the cupcakes have paid off.

Could be a three-bid league again. Doesn't make tonight sting less.
