Yes, it should be exciting and challenging playing three top MAC teams in the next 2 weeks.
OHIO's doing what they need to be doing- playing one game at a time and taking care of business. They're 6-0 in the MAC and if they can keep rolling and win the conference, they may not have to rely on a tournament championship to get into the NCAA tourney.
Last year, e.g., OHIO, the no.2 seed, was 18-11 going in the tourney and they probably had to run the table (which they did) to make the NCAA's. Although OHIO has performed incredibly well in MAC tourneys of late, tourneys can be a crapshoot . Sure, talent goes a long way in head to head matches, but there are other factors-preparation, motivation, how you happen to be playing at that time- that enter into the equation. Two years ago, e.g., a low seed OHIO basketball team got hot at the right time, took the MAC tourney by storm, then landed a big knockout punch on Georgetown. These things happen all the time.
One game at a time, OHIO. Keep it up, you should be able get a tourney bid on your season play, and won't have to worry about 'come what may'.
Big game Friday at 7:00 in the Convo against a very good Ball State team. Hopefully, with homecoming here, a great crowd will show up and support a solid Bobcat team.
One game at a time.
