Word has it that Hannah Burkle, a 6-2 MB frm Crystal Lake, IL is transferring to Ohio from Eastern Kentucky for the upcoming season.  Hannah was a freshman at EKU, so she will have three years of eligibility remaining.  Played on the same club team as Kelly Lamberti.

Played at Crystal Lake South High School. … two-time first team all-area … earned first team all-conference her senior season … team MVP as a senior … Chicago Sun Times “Fab 50” selection … finished senior season with 335 kills and 83 blocks …  member of the Sky High club team that helped lead Sky High to a No. 6 national ranking in 2010 … helped Sky High capture the 2009 national championship.

She is a top contributor for EKU and has pretty solid background. This is a good addition to the team. Can't wait to watch this team get better and better this year. Go Cats!

Very excited to be joining the Bobcat family of fanatics for 2012.  Just wanted to add a little drama to the upcoming game with Illinois.  Hannah's old high school teammate Erin Johnson is the starting MB for the Illini so it will be fun to see them compete head to head.   With Illinois having lost two all Americans to graduation, I am really looking for a fairly competitive match.  Hopefully that comes to pass.  Go BOBCATS!
