Cats get 2 home sweeps, beating Akron(20-23-17) and Buffalo ((18-13-17). Ladies team pct. was .368 to Buffalo's .154. Bilger, Lamberti, Warner and Ashy had impressive matches, while Petrovich led OHIO against Buffalo with 25 assists, 7 digs and 3 blocks.
That's 15 straight set wins for OHIO who is now 10-8, 5-1 in the MAC. BG remains undefeated at 6-0 by surprising conference favorite WMU at home, 3-2.
Ladies travel to Toledo and Ball State next weekend before returning home for a Halloween weekend special against 2 powers from the Western division, WMU and NIU.
Go OHIO

Playing well. Interesting stat ... the Bobcats are 30 - 0 (sets played) in their 10 wins this season. Each win has been a sweep. Tough weekend ahead as Toledo is decent at home and BSU needs to find their mojo again. BSU is a big, physical team -- unclear why they are having so much trouble this year. If the Cats can run the table between now and the BGSU match, that will make for a great home re-match. Many MAC teams winning at home and losing on the road, so expect the Falcons to drop a few matches in the coming weeks. As mentioned, the Cats are getting solid play at many positions -- which is a must if this team is going to contend for a MAC title and an NCAA bid. Go Cats!

have not had the oppoturnity to see the ladies play. Seems to be predominantly fr/soph team. Know it has to be difficult to develop the communication skills in particular with a young team. Impressed with recent victories, but as pointed out above, the upcoming road sched will tell the tale.
