Cats take first two sets 25-21 and 25-23..................Cant's gave up last point on a net serve.  MAC webcast is not stellar as you might expect.  Glad that this is going to campus sites next year because the facility looks far less than championships presentation.

25-19 for the third set.

Kent pushed us and made a match of it. Much rather that than a blowout heading in to round two.

Not sure who I'd rather play in the semis. Either way, Ryan and Co will have them prepared.

Gromala had Kent well prepared; they gave us a fight.  They just didn't have enough weapons.

I felt like we played a little tight the first two sets, then loosened up a bit in the third.  Definitely wasn't our total "A" game today...

Survive and advance -- bring on the semis!!

Agree. Our B- game beat their A-  game. We'll need more against Northern Illinois. But one area I thought we did look strong was serving, at least from the poor resolution I got from The MAC's streaming of the match. MAC videos are always the worst for a whole bunch of reasons. One year they actually had the Miami Hurricanes symbol when we played the Redhawks.

Yep;  aggressive serving was key today -- had some errors, but some very key aces at critical times.

#2 Toledo, #3 Ball State, and #4 BUGS all went down on the first day...

Time to take care of business!!

Let's Go Cats!!
