Let me first say this is a very good team and a couple of 5 set wins would probably have them in the top 25. They're that close.

But if you would have told me that in the last couple years:

We lose Serena Williams who now stars as MB for 9th ranked Oregon:

And just in the last year:

We lose All-Mac Chelsea B. for over a year from an ACL.

We lose Katie Horton who now as a soph stars for no. 11 Florida.

We lose our coach.

I'd say things looked bleak.

But Jim Schauss made a quick and great hire of Deane Webb who took a still very strong nucleas and found the pieces he needed to put together a well rounded team that can play with the best. Their 4 losses are to top 25 teams. They still have to do the MAC, then the tourney, and everyone knows who the MAC teams really want to beat.

It's something to witness in person. The way they dominated Akron on Saturday was crazy. I believe every player (minus the girl I heard is redshirting) played and we never missed a beat. Akron stood no chance.

Katie Horton plays for Florida State. They are unbeaten and ranked No. 5 (including wins at Nebraska and Marquette). Deane has the Bobcats on the right track-they are improving every week and Chelsea is beginning to see the floor after last year's season ending knee injury. Our youngsters and transfers are contributing as well and should be peaking at tourney time. This team is working hard to claim another MAC Championship and advance in the NCAA tourney.

Woops, 0 for 2 on the transfers. Watched Warner against Stanford the other night. She has really advanced her game.

Agree with Bobcat Binge that this team is moving forward and would like to see what they can accomplish with an 100% Chelsea.
