Chelsea looked GREAT at the Central Michigan match where she was able to play longer than just one set. She came in the first set for just a few points and quickly got an ace and a kill. WOW!
She then played the last two sets and was just crushing the ball!
With Chelsea back in the game we see all 4 of the MAC players playing together again. Their combined experience along with the rest of this team will get us rocking and rolling on our way to being able to beat those really tough teams and be in the sweet 16 this year!
Coach's press comments yesterday:
On what return of R-Jr. OH Chelsea Bilger brings to team:
"She hits the ball really hard. That's something that in every sport, there are things that you just can't replace. In our sport, how high you jump is really important; how hard you hit is really important. She hits the ball with a tremendous amount of heat, more so than I would say almost any player of our conference, even. So, if she's able to offer that to us, that's a big thing for us in that if she gets the ball past the block, there's a fairly good chance it's not going back. It's a lot harder to dig her because she puts so much heat on the ball. It's a matter for her of can she play at a high level? Can the vision get to where it needs to be to get the ball by the block? But she, without a question, has a great, great arm."

What's the deal with her eligibility? Is she a redshirt junior and planning to come back next year, or is she doing what Lexie Hartnett did several years ago?
