Oddly, I find myself rooting for OS-Who. As I understand it, the top 16 teams host the first round matches of the NCAA tourney. And, the NCAA sends the remaining tourney teams to a site that is as close geographically as "reasonable" in order to minimize travel costs. Right now OS-Who is number 17. Wouldn't it be great to make the NCAA tourney, play in Columbus, and match-up against OS-Who? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but..............

To host, teams must submit a bid. The NCAA decides among those bids who will get the 16 seeds (and sometimes seeds do not host). So it's not automatic.

You're getting ahead of yourself...But I'm right there with you. I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Columbus and subsequent pounding of OSU in the 2005 tourney.
