After the disappointing opener loss, Bobcats evened it up with Akron 3-1 then pounded Kent 3-0 this week (25-19, 25-17, 25-17). Gets real tough this weekend at Buffalo.

Took out NIU 3-1 and nearly had a signature win against undefeated WMU but lost the 5th game. 3rd game was not close and total points was 109-91 WMU, but hats off on gutting out those 2 games.

Not sure if anyone is reading this forum but the ladies obliterated Miami, a clean 6-0 sweep. The 2nd match was particularly great - 25-17, 25-13, 25-17. A true blowout. Yes, Miami sucks. But still good to see.

Bobcats are 7-4 and in very good shape to make the tourney (top 6 go if I am not mistaken. Kent, Miami & EMU are absolutely terrible. 3 of the 7 remaining matchups are against them, so just taking care of business there puts us as 10-8 and almost certainly in the top 6.

Couple easy wins vs EMU brings Cats to 10-5. They still have a shot at the 2 seed but need some help. 2 or 3 would be great to avoid seeing WMU (now 15-0) until the final.

Cats sweep Central Michigan on Friday/Saturday to pretty much guarantee a top four spot in the tourney. Tied with Buffalo and one back from Balls to move up to second or third.

Ohio has a much easier remaining matchup (2-15 Kent) than Buffalo (8-9 Akron) & Ball St (10-7 Toledo). We split with Buffalo so I am not sure what the tiebreaker would be. We lost to Ball St so I assume we would lose that tiebreaker.

It would have been nice to somehow sneak into the 2/3 side of the bracket and avoid the buzz saw that is Western Mich until a potential final, but oh well. I looked over Western's schedule, and unless something happened in their last game, we were the only MAC team to take more than 1 set from them. Hopefully we win in Round 1 over Toledo and get a rematch!
