Through a friend that's a manager on the Kent State men's basketball team, I heard some dirt that the O-Zone could use for the basketball game against Kent on Saturday January 15th at 7:00pm. I've been able to find articles that confirm this this information.
Kent State Brawl:
The first story involves a fight that I had not heard about, but apparently was huge. Justine Greene was hosting a party at his apartment when a few members of the basketball team were getting made fun of. Some members of the team then proceeded to break the windows of the man's car which lead to a lot of people at the party to choose sides. News reports say the fight swelled to as many as 30-50 people and received 11 calls to 911 in a 20 minute span. A little side note to all this, a week after the fight happened, the Recordpub.com (something similar to the Athens News for Kent I would assume?) reported that no KSU student athletes were involved in the fight at all.

Then a month later, in November, a security tape surfaced that clearly identified
Eric Gaines,
Robert Johnson, and
Darius Leonard. As a result all three were
cited with disorderly conduct and suspended for two games, a scrimmage, and an exhibition.

Grand Theft Auto:
Now for a more complex, and less clear cut story.
Carlton Guyton, one of Kent State's best players, has been
suspended indefinitely for
car theft and allegations of sexual assault.

The reason I bring this up is because from what I hear this is a shaky case and the accuser might not be telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The hearing is the 14th, the day before we play Kent so there is a chance Carlton will suit up for play and be next in the long line of Kent players before him to hear it from the O-Zone.
