Fare enough but not nearly at the rate baseball has. and compare the TV numbers of baseball compared to other sports. Football and basketball fans lose in game attendance like baseball but gain it back in TV ratings. for baseball this isn't the case.
The world series is so far down this list it's laughable.

The Olympics NBA NFL NCAAFB NCAABB all have better rating than PRO baseball. So if Athens had a Pro baseball team. People would watch the OU football and basketball team more. and that's pro baseball so the fact that college baseball doesn't get many people isn't a surprise.
I am late to the party, but baseball is most definitely a sport where fans LOVE to watch their team, and aren't so into casual watching of the league in general. This is why playoff TV ratings are on the low side. But when you consider the volume of games in baseball, local TV ratings are quite strong.
Prolly right per TV games. But per "attending" not so sure. Who would say no to "Wanna go to Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Wrigley, Camden Yard, et al, etc."? My son and I just went on a long holiday baseball weekend trip - Thursday Pittsburgh (vs Nationals ), Friday Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (vs Mud Hens - yes we bought "Bacon" gear), Saturday Cooperstown/Doubleday Field HOF Classic, Sunday Toronto (vs A's), Monday Erie (vs Altoona). Enjoyed every bit of "casual watching" - and we are Reds fans. Minor league baseball is a Hot ticket all 'round the country. We just need a winner...........
