WT/LT from today provided by Justin Franczak!

Noticed we get out of sync / too fast in the end.

Idk if you're starting it, but slowing down the cadence in the beginning might help the runaway effect at the end.

Unfortunately someone in the 110 started that one. I plan to start WT/LT against Miami if we get the opportunity to and I will be slowing it down.

Is there a reason not to talk to the 110 about coordinating? Same 110 guy has been doing WT/LT -- he has the necessary vocal power. There was at least one time in the WMU game where Ozone & 110 both started different chants at same time, band doing bounce-bounce-bounce-pass and ozone doing de-fense I think. How did previous Ozones work with 110? Both groups are awesome.

There isn't a reason not to, but it's a lack of communication on my part. The dirt sheets I've been making have lead to some coordination but that de-fense and bounce - bounce - pass exposed the flaws. I need to find a solution about it to communicate when they are going to do that chant, and I'm thinking meeting up with someone before the game / half to discuss when they aren't busy. I know both the 110 and O-Zone have worked together in the past and I hope to continue that relationship in the future.

The reason is the band has always been there standing and making noise. The O Zone has gone through it's ebbs and flows the last decade. Not surprising that bandmembers feel empowered to lead.

In the past, the cheer was always done by the same front and center person for an entire season, usually by a senior. Then passed down to a rising senior.

Yeah, I'm not totally surprised either and I'm fortunate that they can come up with things to chant that I never thought of. It was fun though when we and the 110 were chanting "Tik Tok, Tik Tok!" at Farrikhan during the EMU game (He's a big Tik Tok user / influencer). He was 2-10 from the field and 1-4 from three that night plus we gave him a nice "hey hey hey, goodbye!" after he fouled out.

I wish we had a good solid video of D-Lowe doing it. Words can not describe how great his voice bellowed. But in case you haven't seen this yet, it is a pretty good example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFtPj-Uka-o

To me the leader needs to be not just loud but really eccentric and obvious. I could barely tell which 110 member was leading.

That's pretty cool otherwise! I was wearing a "D-Lo's Crew" shirt at the EMU game. I'd be so down to be not just loud, but eccentric and obvious.
