Not too surprised; the program has been spinning its wheels for a while.

under funded, under staffed and under appreciated.  Think before you jump.

I didn't say it was her fault.

Amazing accomplishment on the scholar side of the scholar athlete equation. 50+ recognized by MAC academics.

Good luck.

Stacy did a hell of a job and I feel shame that I had no concept it has been for 13 years. It will be difficult to find her equal.

I hope she's able to stay around Athens and that her decision to do something else does not reduce the support she has shown for the other programs over the years.

Stacy is one of my all-time favorites. To echo Pete, she has always been a big supporter of all the other teams in the department as well. I wish her well in whatever her next step is.

Sounds like it was her choice.

Always sad to see a long-time coach go. I think (hope) that it was on her own terms. With both her and Carbone out, there's not many tenured coaches left. I know Cooley has been here for around 25 years. Beyond that, I guess it's probably Greg Werner (swimming) - he's maybe been 10-12 years or so?

Let's see if Jimmy McFly brings in another vaunted coach from his conference.

New coach is Aaron Rodgers (no, not the one you're thinking of)....former assistant at Kentucky.

A bit of a headscratcher IMO, as he was the 2nd assistant at Kentucky. Prior to that, just the volunteer coach at Florida. If he's the best candidate, I don't think that speaks to well to the applicant pool. Time will tell!

So long as we don't have to see a bunch of "discount double check" crap.  That ad campaign has more than run its course.

I'd say the pool had more to do with this earlier post:

"under funded, under staffed and under appreciated.  Think before you jump. "  When all of your eggs are in two baskets that does leave much for the rest of the kids to play with.
