Savannah Jo Dorsey pitched a perfect game for Ohio softball against MAC regular season champion Ball State in the MAC tournament. Alyssa Wolfe made a catch against the fence for the final out. It was a huge effort. Ball State beat Ohio 10-0 and 7-0 in regular season game. The No. 4 seed Bobcats face No. 2 seed Buffalo in the finals of the winners' bracket at 5 p.m. tomorrow in Akron. The Bobcats split with Buffalo about a month ago. Winner is in the finals and will have two shots to win the title against the losers' bracket champ.

Woo-Hoo! Go 'Cats.
I'd much rather spend a tidy hour watching a young lady mow down hitters than 3 hours watching a bunch of guys scuff their spikes in the dirt and look at each other.

As if a perfect game wasn't good enough, Dorsey followed it up by throwing 13 scoreless innings and Ohio beat Buffalo on a two-run homer by Dakota Pyles in the 13th. That puts the Bobcats in the championship game and the winner between No. 2 Buffalo and No. 7 Northern Illinois (11 a.m.) will have to beat the Bobcats twice (1:30 and 4 p.m.).
