Bobcats (#2) taking on CMU (#3) as we speak, no score in the 5th. I have half-watched most of the game while working. Every time I watch softball I find myself annoyed at how shrunk down everything is. The SS can practically reach out and touch the Left Fielder. So hard to find open space and get a hit. I'll stop short of saying they should just play baseball, but a smaller or more juiced ball with some greater exit velocity and bigger dimensions would be nice. Just my thoughts as a baseball supremacist.

Great oppo 2 out hit by the #7 hitter freshman Shelby Westler in the 6th for the only runs of the game as Skipp Miller (also a freshman) completes the shutout.
Likely Miami tomorrow. Go Bobcats!

Miami repeated as MAC champion. The RedHawks beat the Bobcats 8-4 yesterday, and after the Bobcats beat Central Michigan a second time to get another shot, Miami took a 6-2 win today. Both times Miami scored in the first inning and led throughout. Great season, though. Really young team. Several good freshmen and only a couple seniors.

Yes very good season. Sadly Miami returns a good bit of talent too but they do lose their top pitcher.
