it honestly sounded to me like more of jab at Tom Seaver than Stroman. Seaver was kind of known for being a square.

I honestly didn't think it was a racist statement but I really don't understand why he would choose to comment on it. To me, it was a terrible attempt at humor. I bet he was kicking himself as soon as it came out.
