That bailout for FirstEnergy stunk to high heaven. Every electric customer in Ohio (even those outside FirstEnergy territory) pays an extra $2.50 a month for the next six years so that FirstEnergy could keep operating two uneconomic nuclear plants (when they ARE operating) and two antiquated coal plants. Oh, and all the green energy incentives were eliminated, giving utilities absolutely no incentive to build anything new. FirstEnergy execs got to keep their phony-baloney jobs while consumers got screwed.

Dewine signed the damn thing, so I'm a bit surprised he wasn't trapped in the net. Although he handled the pandemic well until Amy Acton stepped down, he's made a lot of enemies in the Republican party so he's likely to be a one-term governor.
As for Householder, it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. He diminished the office of House Speaker by, among other things, telling other legislators to "grow a pair" and vote for his bill to reduce the authority of the ODH Hope he fries.
