The Optimist

Was walking out of the grocery store in OHIO gear. Saw a couple get out of their car. Girl had OHIO gear on. Guy yelled "OU" and I responded "Go Bobcats." He clearly wanted to hear "OH YEAH" but I was not in a clear state of mind.

Why was I off my game? Because this grocery store has self-checkouts and I got stuck behind some very slow customers who took a very long time to scan their items. Yes, they were wearing F!&M! gear. I was cursing walking to my car.

U get a pass for that slight quick response error! :)

Per myself - When walking out of Walmart Athens today (with box of disposable masks - which unbelievably CVS/a friggin' pharmacy - down the street were OUT of) I saw Ben Roderick walking in - I said "Go get 'em tomorrow night" - quick response was "Yes Sir"!

I had a reverse of that when I was at the Penn State game in 2012. A young woman in Ohio gear bounded up to me and screamed "O-H..." and I stared blankly at her and said "wrong school."

Going to a wedding in Columbus this Saturday at 3:30 with the reception to follow at 5:30 in Grandview Heights. Bride is a Cincinnati grad and the groom is an Otterbein grad. Lots of folks from Knox and Muskingum counties will be there. Debating which lapel pin to wear. OHIO seems appropriate but am afraid I'll get a bunch of OH - with the expectation of an IO reply. As stated, wrong school. Suggestions - I have lots of lapel pins including a beautiful one from the Mondavi winery.
