I figured this would be a fun/interesting thread for OHIO graduates.

The speaker at my commencement (spring 2012) was Nancy Cartwright. She is best known as the voice of Bart Simpson from the Simpsons TV show, but as she demonstrated during her speech she had voiced a number of recognizable cartoon voices over the years. I thought she did a good job. She is an OHIO graduate.

Sidenote: I believe that Wesley Lowery graduated in my class and he ended up being a commencement speaker himself not too many years later.

Who was your commencement speaker?

Fritz the Night Owl. Oops, that was Bobcatsquared's high school graduation speaker.

1990, think it was a member of the Board of Trustees. Fell asleep as the speech was riveting.

I was on stage for that one. I had lunch with him and criticized him for not mentioning where he went to school more. President McDavis cringed when I brought it up.

Same here. He posted it on SI shortly afterward and I have had it bookmarked since then. Surprisingly the stooges running whatever is left of SI now haven’t purged it yet.
