Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery picked up a $250k donation from People's Bank.

This one is a stretch but the discovery of burial mounds in The Plains has the potential of becoming a draw someday.

OHIO museum complex has created what they are calling an Outdoor Museum at the Ridges to accompany the trail system around the complex. This one happens to be already done.

Athens area could always use more attractions to bring folks down other than the university and court street.

I'm more interested in:

Miller's Chicken Museum

Ray's Freeze Museum

and, of course,

Big Red Tomato Museum

I'll donate the first $10 for each.

I know a farmhouse near Shade where archeologists could probably find relics from the '70s: beer cans, liquor bottles, roach clips, condoms...

Seriously, it's good to see something with some historical potential coming to the area, instead of waiting for development of the Joe Burrow Heritage Trail.

Personally I would like to see something done for Radar Hill.

There isn't even a plaque.

The foundations left from the large dish antennae are all still there.

News Flash: Ephraim Cutler discovers massive "Indian Mounds" in The Plains, calls it the largest collection of such mounds yet discovered.

I don't see why not to the 3 above. Anything helps.

We were in town last week and visited the Shade Winery. It is a great place. I live in Portland and see all kinds of wineries and all levels of pretention.
This place is very inviting, beautiful and well worth the 15 minute drive from Athens. Wine and food are great.

I'm a big fan of this place. I'd definitely recommend both PHV and Shade. They aren't making Napa wines (overrated at times in my book), but they are making solid wines, and they're both gorgeous places with friendly people.
